STEM Camps
STEM Camps are theme based and
are offered during “Out of
school” days which are Teacher
Planning Days, Summer, Spring
and Winter breaks. Students
participate in Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math
experiences, as well as field
trips. Students enrolled in our
Summer STEM Camp programs are
assessed prior to the start of
Camp. The purpose of this
assessment is to identify any
weak subject areas a student may
have; this gives STEM Coaches
time to work with students who
have subject areas of concern
over the summer, which helps to
make transitioning into the new
school year a smooth one. Camp
days are broken into two parts.
During STEM mornings children
participate in STEM Curricula,
reading and comprehension.
Afternoon hours are filled with
experiments-experiences, field
trips and outdoor activities. At
the end of the 10 week summer
session a STEM fair and closing
ceremony takes place. Students
are recognized for their efforts
and accomplishments. |
